DE Company Dress Code

TECHNIQUE CLASSES

• BALLET, TAP, JAZZ, LEAPS & TURNS, and PBT
  • Any color leotard
  • Any color tights or leggings (optional)
  • Bootie shorts (optional)
  • NO head ornaments, bows, hairclips, elastic headbands…etc
  • Hair in bun
  • Proper Shoes
    • Ballet – Pink canvas ballet shoes
    • Jazz – Tan jazz boot
    • Tap – Black jazz tap shoes (Mini Company – Mary Jane buckle tap)
    • Leaps & Turns – Tan jazz boot or pirouette shoe
    • PBT & Flexibility – Barefoot
• HIP HOP
• • Any color dancewear or sweats, tank top, & t-shirt
  • Hair secured out of face
  • Proper Shoes
    • Hip Hop – Any sneaker, boot, or tennis shoe (May not be worn outside)

CHOREOGRAPHY AND REHEARSALS:

• LYRICAL, CONTEMPORARY, JAZZ, TAP, MUSICAL THEATRE
  • Black Leotard – no color, white emblems, rhinestones….etc
  • Black Bootie Shorts – no color, white emblems, rhinestones, no leggings….etc
  • Tan tights (optional)
  • NO colored undergarments showing
  • NO head ornaments, bows, hairclips, elastic headbands…etc
  • Hair in bun
  • Routine specific shoes
    • Lyrical – Pirouette shoe
    • Jazz & Musical Theatre – Tan jazz boot
    • Contemporary – Barefoot
    • Tap – Black jazz tap shoes (Mini Company – Mary Jane buckle tap)
• HIP HOP
• • Any color dancewear or sweats, tank top, & t-shirt
  • Hair secured out of face
  • Proper Shoes
    • Hip Hop – Any sneaker, boot, or tennis shoe (May not be worn outside)

MASTER CLASSES AND CONVENTIONS:

• Any color leotard or genre specific dance attire.
  • For example, if one of the classes is hip hop, make sure to bring sweats, tennis shoes or boots, or T-shirt….etc. If one of the classes is contemporary, feel free to put shirt over leotard and dance in socks…..etc.  Ballet, feel free to wear black leotard and pink tights. 
• Any color tights, leggings or bootie shorts (optional)
• Hair TIGHTLY secured out of face and off of neck
• Genre specific shoes
