Delaney Mathies

Delaney has always had a love for dance and tumbling.  At age 6, she began competitive tumbling for 5 years.

However, after attending Dance Expressions during “Bring A Friend Week”, at the age of 11, she was hooked with the art of dancing and her life was forever changed.  She started taking recreational classes, and a year later joined the competition team.

Delaney competed with Dance Expressions for 6 years, and was fortunate enough to be in a number of specially recognized and award winning routines in both regional and national competitions across the country. Her senior year she was named Miss Dance Runner Up 2019 at the Dance Masters of America Regional Title Competition.

After graduation, she moved to New York City to further her dance education at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. This is where she expanded her portfolio in dance education with classes such as ballroom, dance theatre, dance history, modern choreography and improv, ballet variations, as well as a number of singing and acting classes taught by working professionals.

Delaney hopes to continue furthering her dance education and sharing her passion with her students, peers, and fellow DE families.
