Rachel Jancek began dancing at the age of four and trained in many styles of dance. As a child she competed regionally and nationally while traveling around the United States receiving top awards and scholarships. She trained in many styles of dance from master teachers around the country.
Rachel received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Missouri at Kansas City with an emphasis in Ballet and Modern. She was also a member of the dance team at UMKC.
Rachel is currently President of Heart of America Chapter 28, Dance Masters of America. She is certified to teach by test in all areas of dance and is a National Certified Examiner.
She performed with Nick Cave’s “Soundsuits” in 2010 for the Kansas City Arts Institute 125th Anniversary.
Rachel owned and operated her dance studio for 10 years. Her choreography has won top scoring awards throughout the years. Her students have held many titles, won scholarships and pursed dance careers. Rachel integrated the fine art of dance into a Kansas City Charter School, creating a dance curriculum for students Pre-K through 8th grades. She has taught convention classes and adjudicated for the dance competition circuit over the years.
Rachel truly loves the art of dance and teaching many disciplines of dance.
