Kinderdance

This class teaches the fundamentals of ballet, tap, and tumbling. Through music and movement games, Kinder classes have a fun learning atmosphere structured around expanding your child’s imagination, developing coordination skills, listening skills, balance, music interpretation, creative movement, and motor development. The class will begin with ballet, move into tap, and finish with tumbling. Students should arrive at class in ballet shoes, and the instructors will assist the young dancers with shoe changes.

 

Intro To Youth

COMBO – This class is designed to prepare dancers transitioning from Kinderdance classes to Youth classes. Students will find the “fun” in the fundamental basics of ballet, tap, and jazz. The class will begin with ballet, move into tap, and finish with jazz. Students should arrive at class in ballet shoes, and the instructors will assist the young dancers with shoe changes.

HIP HOP – This class will introduce young students to the basic vocabulary and style of hip-hop movement, teaching them rhythm, coordination, and age-appropriate hip hop choreography, with no suggestive music/movements. This high-energy class is upbeat and great for kids who like to move!

 

Youth / Junior

COMBO – Ballet will increase body control, which in turn, will enhance all other areas of dance and tumbling. In the tap section of the class, dancers will concentrate on developing rhythm and sound. Jazz class will focus on the fundamentals of jazz dance including isolations, musicality, flexibility, balance, alignment, and coordination.  Students will learn basic dance movements and fun combinations.

HIP HOP – This class will introduce young students to the basic vocabulary and style of hip-hop movement, teaching them rhythm, coordination, and age-appropriate hip hop choreography, with no suggestive music/movements. This high-energy class is upbeat and great for kids who like to move!

CONTEMPORARY – In this class, students will learn the lyrical techniques that use dramatic motion to interpret music and express emotion, as well as the expressive style of contemporary dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, & ballet.

Tumbling / Acro

  • BEGINNING TUMBLING

    This class teaches the basics of floor tumbling, including forward rolls, backbends, cartwheels, strengthening, flexibility, and coordination skills.

  • ACRO – This is an acrobatic style class that teaches floor gymnastics. Acro is a class that progresses from basic tumbling skills to advanced tumbling skills, including aerial work and power tumbling. This class also focuses on strengthening, flexibility, and teamwork.
