Youth Combo is a 1.5-hour class of ballet, tap and jazz. During ballet, this class will focus on the fundamentals of ballet. Ballet will increase body control, which in turn, will enhance all other areas of dance and tumbling. In the tap section of class, dancers concentrate on learning proper vocabulary and fundamental basics thru intermediate techniques of tap dance. Jazz class will focus on isolations, rhythm, and coordination thru dance movements and fun combinations. They will perform a ballet, tap & jazz routine in the recital. Tap and Jazz will use the same costume.

Hip-Hop is a high-energy, upbeat class that will introduce young students to the basic vocabulary and style of hip-hop movement, teaching them rhythm, coordination, and age-appropriate hip hop choreography, with no suggestive music/movements. Students will perform in the recital.

Contemporary is a class where students will learn the lyrical techniques that use dramatic motion to interpret music and express emotion, as well as the expressive style of contemporary dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, & ballet. Students will perform in the recital.

Musical Theater introduces students to all elements of theater combing music, dance, and spoken dialogue. This class will incorporate a combination of jazz and acting, where students will work jazz technique while portraying a character. Students will perform in the recital.

Class Attire:
Any color leotard. Bootie shorts and tights are optional. Sweats or leggings are recommended for Hip Hop. Barefoot for Contemporary.

Dancewear and shoes are available at the studio.

Fees:

• Registration Fee - $30 (This is a 1-time fee, due at time of registration)

• Class Tuition (due September-May)

  • Combo Class ONLY = $99/per month

    • ADD Hip-Hop, Contemporary, OR Musical Theater for only $21 each, per month.

    • ADD Tumbling/Acro for $33-$56 per month, depending on length of class.

  • Hip Hop Class ONLY (30 minutes/week) = $45 per month

  • Contemporary Class ONLY (30 minutes/week) = $45 per month

  • Musical Theater Class ONLY (30 minutes/week) = $45 per month

• Performance Package - includes recital costume(s) and the recital fee. (Due - Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb)
